St John Bosco

As the founder of the Salesians, St John Bosco wrote a great deal about his ideas on education. He saw it as his life mission to help other educators learn an effective Christian pedagogy of teaching young people to live good lives. Here are some of his writings and aspects of his pedagogy. that have shaped the Little Way of Virtue Program.

1. LET LOVE FOR GOD AND OTHERS MOVE THE STUDENTS. “Charity must be the mainspring of action. “

2. BE PATIENT WITH THE STUDENTS LIKE JESUS WAS PATIENT WITH THE APOSTLES HE TAUGHT.

3. BE A KIND AND OPTIMISTIC EDUCATOR. A kind word or a glance does more to encourage a child than a severe reprimand.

4. ALLOW FOR THE THOUGHTFULNESS OF YOUTH. Always be prudent.
