Year 1 Curriculum
The Year One Curriculum for the Little Way of Virtue focuses on 9 fundamental Christian virtues shown by the example of the saints.
The year begins with teaching the students the three theological virtues of faith, hope and love with the Blessed Virgin Mary, St Peter and St Monica showing how to put these important virtues into practice.
St Katharine Drexel and St Joseph highlight the two fundamental virtues of the commandments – Love for Neighbor and Obedience.
The Year One Curriculum is completed by the four cardinal virtues or moral virtues that are the basis for all other virtues – Self Control (Temperance), Prudence, Fortitude and Justice. St Augustine, St Thomas, St Joan of Arc and St Damien of Molokai highlight these four essential virtues.
Year 2 Curriculum
The Year Two Curriculum for the Little Way of Virtue focuses on 9 important Christian virtues shown by the example of the saints.
The year highlights some of the virtues associated with the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit, starting off with kindness, wisdom and truthfulness by the example of some great apostles – Mother Teresa, St John Paul II and St Dominic.
The next saints take us to Italy – St Clare of Assisi, St Francis of Assisi and St Cecilia, highlighting the virtues of joy, courage and loyalty.
The Year Two Curriculum is completed by three human virtues needed to live a Christian life – perseverance, mercy and hard work. St Patrick, St Faustina and St Frances Cabrini highlight these three essential virtues.
